The Purpose Project is a new approach to teaching practical ethics. 

The distinguishing feature of the Purpose Project is active, embodied engagement with ethical principles at every level of instruction and assessment. Students learn about ethics in real time and in the real world. 

Applied and professional ethics classes should prepare students to live with purpose and integrity. The Purpose Project makes space for students to experiment with new ideas, think freely, and act courageously in a supportive and accepting educational context. Students in Purpose Project classes make decisions with real ethical stakes and confront the meaning of their everyday choices from the first day of class to the final exam.
