Fair Play

Take some property of yours (which you value but can afford to lose, if it comes to that) and announce to everyone at your work or hallway or study space (some suitably large group where people know you but are not close friends) can freely use your property for three days. Ensure that people understand that you consider this property a common bounty for all. Tell them they may use it at will and do what it takes to let them borrow it/ use it. How did they treat it? How did people respond to this? Did it get destroyed or overused? Did this experience raise your status or bring people closer together? Did you inspire more people to share their property? What did you learn from this? In your reflection, address Brown and Huemer’s views about duties to contribute to your community.
